"News out of the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival has Patrick Wilson (Insidious) and Alec Baldwin (30 Rock) teaming up to star in Caught Stealing. The adaptation of author Charlie Huston’s first installment in the “Hank Thompson Trilogy†was adapted by David Hayter (X2). The wrong-man picture finds Wilson as the trilogy’s title character, a one-time California baseball prospect who ended up as an alcoholic bartender in Manhattan. His life takes a turn for the worse when his neighbor leaves him with a cat who is the key to a secret sought after by Russian mobsters, a Samoan hitman, two psychotic brothers and one sadistic cop (Baldwin). THR reports that Myriad Pictures is shopping the worldwide rights to the film. Myriad’s Kirk D’Amico had this to say of the project: “Caught Stealing is, first and foremost, a great script. It is a wrong-man plot worthy of Hitchcock and a brilliant adaption of the first book of the Henry Thompson trilogy. I look forward to seeing the story come to life on screen.†Full article: collider.com/patrick-wilson-alec-baldwin-caught-stealing/194022/And THR (The Hollywood Report" also announced that Patrick will be one of the producers: "Lost Rhino Films' Marcus Chait, James Carpinello and Wilson will produce.
